Community Guitar Donations

For Donors: When you make a donation to Velvet Creek’s Give Guitar, your contribution goes into a collective funding pool rather than being tied to a specific guitar. Once the pool reaches enough to purchase and restore a guitar for a child in need, our team allocates donations—starting with the oldest—to cover that guitar’s cost. You’ll then receive an email with a photo of the recipient, along with the percentage of the guitar that your donation funded. If your contribution happens to be split across two or more guitars (for larger donations), you’ll receive a separate email for each guitar with its corresponding photo and funding breakdown.

For Recipients: When you register to receive a guitar, you provide your name and story (which can be kept private if preferred). Once a guitar has been purchased and restored using our pooled donations, our team will take a photo of you with your new guitar to share with the donors who helped make it possible. Your personal information is handled with care and only shared as part of this photo delivery process.
